Sleep Laboratory Technologist

About the role

The Sleep Laboratory Technologist performs polysomnography and related sleep‑study procedures, ensuring accurate data collection, patient safety, and clear communication with patients. Working within The Medical City Clinic’s sleep lab, the technologist supports diagnostic testing for a variety of sleep disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnography procedures and continuously monitor patients throughout the sleep study.
• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information, including vital signs required for the test.
• Explain procedures and orient patients to the sleep‑testing process.
• Maintain sleep‑study equipment, perform routine functionality checks, and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
• Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake cycles and clinical events.
• Perform additional administrative tasks and assist with patient scheduling as needed.
