SEO Specialist

About the role

We are a fast‑growing digital marketing agency looking for an SEO Specialist to lead local and national campaigns for clients in health, wellness, lifestyle and service‑based sectors. The role is fully remote, operates on UK working hours, and is an independent contractor position.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end SEO projects: audits, strategy, implementation, and reporting.
• Optimize site structure, technical SEO, metadata and content on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace and Wix.
• Monitor rankings and uncover insights using SEMrush, Ahrefs and Google Search Console.
• Produce and scale content with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Surfer SEO.
• Manage local SEO, including Google Business Profile optimization, citations and location‑specific pages.
• Collaborate with writers and designers to align content with SEO goals.
• Execute white‑hat link‑building campaigns and report performance.
• Stay organized with Slack and Asana for communication and task tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably with service‑based or local businesses.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• CMS platforms: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix.
