Senior US Tax Accountant – Remote (Philippines/LATAM)

About the role

We are a Texas‑based CPA firm serving over 3,000 clients and looking for a seasoned US‑qualified tax professional to work remotely from the Philippines or Latin America. The Senior Tax Accountant will prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, support advisory projects, and collaborate with audit and accounting teams while leveraging AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, business and entity US tax returns of varying complexity.
• Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously, meeting strict seasonal deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
• Communicate directly with internal teams and clients as needed.
• Support tax planning and advisory work where applicable.
• Coordinate with audit and accounting teams for integrated client services.
• Utilize AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay current on US tax law changes and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Active US CPA license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of US tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Strong track record preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, US‑time‑zone aligned environment.

• ProSeries (or comparable tax software).
• AI and workflow platforms: Claude, Karbon, AccountGroove.
• Tax‑specific tools: Liscio, Gruntworx.
• US federal and state tax compliance knowledge.
