Senior Technical AI Engineer – Generative AI & LLMOps

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Senior Technical AI Engineer to lead end‑to‑end AI projects, from concept through deployment, within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will work on generative and agentic AI solutions, applying cutting‑edge foundation models to real‑world business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver sprint deliverables for generative and agentic AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Deloitte teams to define technical requirements and architect AI solutions.
• Establish robust LLMOps pipelines, including automated evaluations, observability, prompt versioning, safety red‑teaming, and cost/latency optimisation.
• Productionise models using containerisation, CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and cloud‑native services while embedding security, privacy, and responsible AI controls.
• Implement retrieval strategies (chunking, hybrid search, metadata filters), grounding, and feedback loops to improve reliability and factuality.
• Partner with engagement leads to scope, estimate, and deliver work packages, contributing to accelerators and reusable components.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in AI engineering or consulting.
• Strong track record of delivering AI solutions in complex, multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge.
