Senior Tax Accountant (Remote, Australia)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to work remotely from home, delivering end‑to‑end Australian tax compliance services. You will own client files from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and adherence to ATO requirements while collaborating with a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Australian tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations.
• Take full ownership of client files, including workpapers, reconciliations, and final tax return preparation.
• Ensure workpapers are complete, accurate, and fully support tax positions.
• Conduct thorough tax research and apply relevant legislation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Australian tax regulations.
• Analyze financial information and produce clear reports for tax planning and advisory.
• Communicate with internal team members to gather information and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Australian tax compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage client files end‑to‑end.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Availability during AEST business hours for meetings and collaboration.
• Willingness to commit exclusively to this full‑time contractor role.
