Senior Payroll Supervisor

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Senior Payroll Supervisor to lead payroll operations and accounting for its Manila office. The role ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and effective team management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing, including regular and off‑cycle runs, and partner with external payroll providers.
• Oversee statutory remittances and tax filings such as withholding tax, SSS, Pag‑IBIG, and PhilHealth.
• Direct balance‑sheet reconciliations, payroll bank statements, and ensure accurate journal entries in the General Ledger.
• Lead and mentor Sr. Payroll Analysts and staff, assigning tasks and reviewing work for operational efficiency.
• Drive system upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives to streamline payroll processes.

Required profile

• CPA certification.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll processing and GL experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to work onsite during the 6‑month probationary period, with a hybrid arrangement thereafter.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations (DOLE, BIR, SSS, PHIC, HDMF) and PEZA requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in payroll and time‑keeping software.
