Senior Mobile Developer (iOS/Android)

About the role

Sharesource is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to lead the design and implementation of high‑quality Android and iOS applications that bring mapping and geospatial data to life. You will work hands‑on, shaping architecture and delivering performant, user‑friendly mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native mobile apps for Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift) using modern UI frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, XML, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Integrate native services and third‑party SDKs, including Android Jetpack components, Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt, MapKit, and CoreLocation.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and background processing across platforms.
• Implement unit, UI, and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
• Deliver minor enhancements and major feature releases while ensuring feature parity and consistent UX.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on architecture, tooling, and best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Android development with Kotlin and iOS development with Swift.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt, LiveData, ViewModel, and iOS frameworks such as Core Data, MapKit, CoreLocation, SwiftUI.
• Experience with offline‑first architectures, REST/GraphQL integrations, real‑time data handling, and spatial/mapping technologies.
• Strong understanding of responsive layouts, Material Design, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Proficiency in unit, UI, integration, API, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVC and building modular, maintainable code.
