Senior Linux Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to act as a subject‑matter expert for our Linux infrastructure. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the stability, performance and security of enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and related technologies.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to meet project and operational goals.
• Support scheduled maintenance, system upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production incidents, managing service requests, incidents, problems and change requests through an ITSM platform.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation to guarantee continuous service availability.

Required profile

• Expert‑level experience administering RHEL in large‑scale, on‑premises environments.
• Strong background with VMware deployment, administration and maintenance.
• Hands‑on experience with automation and configuration‑management tools such as Ansible, AWX or Puppet.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Linux security hardening, performance tuning and best practices.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in complex Linux environments; experience with Solaris (LDOMs) and enterprise storage is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Microsoft Azure) and enterprise job‑scheduling tools.
