Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance across the company, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while protecting the organization’s interests. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees legal operations, contracts, corporate governance and regulatory affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert advice on corporate, real estate, labor and commercial law matters.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise on their impact to the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documents, aligning terms with business objectives.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board resolutions and regulatory filings.
• Liaise with government agencies, external counsel and regulators to maintain compliance.
• Manage litigation, dispute resolution and develop risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Represent the company in negotiations, settlements and legal proceedings.

Required profile

• LL.B or J.D. degree and a valid lawyer’s license in the Philippines.
• 8‑12 years of experience in corporate law, real estate or related fields.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Leadership experience with stakeholder management and interaction with government agencies.
