Senior GDS Travel Consultant

About the role

The Senior GDS Travel Consultant provides expert travel support to customers, handling complex reservations, itinerary planning, ticketing, exchanges, refunds and related inquiries. Using Global Distribution Systems such as Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo, the consultant ensures accurate booking and compliance with airline fare and ticketing rules while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage complex travel reservations and itinerary changes via GDS platforms.
• Issue tickets, handle exchanges, refunds and resolve travel‑related inquiries.
• Apply advanced knowledge of airline fares, ticketing rules and travel regulations.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants, sharing subject‑matter expertise.
• Maintain operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in corporate travel or GDS support.
• At least 3 years of experience using any GDS (Amadeus preferred) or 1 year with Sabre (preferred).
• At least 1 year of blended support experience (voice plus email or chat).
• Strong understanding of airline fare structures and ticketing regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GDS platforms: Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan, Apollo, Abacus.
• Ability to navigate airline fare and ticketing rule databases.
• Experience with blended communication channels (voice, email, chat).
