Senior Finance Officer & ERP Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Finance Officer who will own day-to-day finance operations and ensure data integrity during our transition to Odoo ERP. The role combines traditional finance responsibilities with deep analytical work across our e-commerce ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and Australian compliance (BAS, GST).
• Perform 3-way matching of supplier invoices, purchase orders and stock receipts, and allocate complex landed costs.
• Audit and reconcile data flows between Shopify, Odoo and Xero, identifying broken mappings and double postings.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations, physical stock audits and maintain accurate stock valuations.
• Reconcile high-volume bank accounts, credit-card statements and payment-gateway settlements (Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, Zip) down to the cent.
• Produce reliable financial reports and insights to support management decisions.
• Document SOPs and identify automation opportunities within Odoo.

Required profile

• Senior-level finance professional with strong investigative and analytical mindset.
• Experience in e-commerce accounting and ERP transitions.
• Familiarity with Australian financial regulations and payroll.
• Detail-oriented and able to trace discrepancies to root causes.
