Senior Drafter, Roads

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Civil Drafter to support the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects. This role will contribute to the development of multidisciplinary road projects, from tender all the way to detail design.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, profiles, cross‑sections and construction documentation.
• Maintain drawing standards, levels, references, naming conventions and project documentation.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to deliver coordinated, construction‑ready civil drawings.
• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Support the implementation of CAD/BIM and digital engineering standards.
• Manage ISO19650 workflows and maintain CAD standards.
• Demonstrate experience in managing drawing revisions and document control requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in major roads projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated design team.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality documentation.
• Experience with Australian state or local government transport projects.
• Familiarity with Australian state drafting standards.
• Understanding of ISO19650.
