Senior Design Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical (GET)

About the role

We are looking for senior electrical and mechanical design engineers to join our Global Engineering Team in Manila. The role supports worldwide data‑centre and large‑scale projects, technical reviews, R&D initiatives and the development of company‑wide design standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review Stage 2 and Stage 3 design developments to ensure compliance with BWE Brand Design Standards.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, design guides and knowledge bases across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Support bid reviews and ensure technical proposals meet client requirements.
• Prepare flexible data‑centre test‑fit layouts and efficient plant distribution strategies.
• Strengthen BIM standards and processes for test‑fit and global projects.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical calculations, technical studies and emerging‑technology research.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to R&D initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in a multidisciplinary design consultancy, preferably on large‑scale or data‑centre projects.
• Professional engineering licence preferred.
• Experience with BIM, bid reviews and development of design standards.

Required skills

• LV power systems, lighting, FDAS, earthing & lightning protection, ELV systems.
• Chilled/heating water systems, ventilation, fuel systems.
• Software: Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, HAP, PipeFlo, Navis, Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of British Standards and international electrical design codes.
• Familiarity with MV power systems (advantageous).
