Senior Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Controller to lead the accounting function of our growing manufacturing organization. This remote position reports directly to ownership and oversees financial reporting, internal controls, and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing accounting functions.
• Directly supervise the Accounting Manager and serve as the primary accounting lead reporting to ownership.
• Lead financial audit preparation and coordination with external auditors, CPA firms, banks, insurers, and regulators.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash management.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of progressive accounting experience in senior leadership roles.
• Previously held the title of Controller or an equivalent senior position.
• Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong experience in manufacturing or inventory‑based accounting preferred.
• Extensive background in financial reporting, internal controls, cost accounting, and audit coordination.
