Senior Construction Manager – Off‑Site Assembly, Modularization & Constructability

About the role

As a Senior Construction Manager specializing in off‑site assembly and modularization, you will lead AWS EMEA Construction’s strategic transformation of data‑center and power‑infrastructure projects. Based in Zaragoza, you will act as the regional Subject Matter Expert, influencing delivery across Spain, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France and the Nordics.

Key responsibilities

• Own the EMEA contribution to the global off‑site assembly portfolio and track labour hours shifted off‑site across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Develop repeatable frameworks and governance for evaluating, implementing and scaling modular solutions.
• Partner with Preconstruction, Procurement, Design and Operations to embed constructability early in project development.
• Define technical standards for prefabricated systems, align them with AWS design requirements and local codes, and maintain an approved vendor ecosystem across Europe.
• Lead pilot implementations, create playbooks and training mechanisms, and scale successful solutions region‑wide.
• Shift high‑risk activities to controlled factory environments and manage modular risks such as logistics, transportation and interface sequencing.

Required profile

• Senior‑level construction management experience, preferably in data‑center or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to travel 40‑50 % across EMEA and work in active construction environments requiring PPE.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence general contractors and vendors.
• Strong analytical mindset to develop business cases quantifying labour reduction, schedule resilience, safety improvements and total cost impact.
