Senior Civil Design Engineer

About the role

Arup is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead and support integrated civil engineering design across a broad range of infrastructure and site development projects. The role involves delivering master planning, feasibility studies and detailed design for roads, rail, water, energy and large‑scale developments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, utilities, water and energy.
• Plan resources, manage workflows and ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Lead a small team of civil design engineers and technicians, coordinating with project managers, drafters and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Develop site grading, earthworks, road layouts, stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable/fire water networks and utility corridors.
• Design rigid and flexible pavements in accordance with AASHTO, FHWA, DPWH and other relevant standards.
• Produce civil drawings, technical reports and feasibility assessments, and conduct site visits.

Required profile

• Licensed Civil Engineer or Environmental & Sanitary Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary consulting environments.
• Experience across a wide range of civil infrastructure sectors.
• Practical knowledge of international and local design standards (AASHTO, FHWA, DPWH).
