Senior Backend Java Developer – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Java) to work on a French client’s vision‑related application, improving vision quality through advanced software solutions. The position follows a hybrid model with three days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, clarify change‑request requirements and evaluate feasibility, effort and technical compatibility.
• Develop and unit‑test Java backend components following coding standards and best practices.
• Maintain high‑quality customer service, respond to user inquiries and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with CMMI standards, maintain documentation and monitor service deliverables against SLAs.
• Support team continuity by assisting colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Java developer with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) as a mandatory condition.
• Excellent coding, debugging, testing and prototyping skills.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with end‑users and documenting requirements.

Required skills

• Java 8 and Java 17 (Full‑Stack development and API integration).
• MySQL database design and query optimization.
• Tomcat 10.1 deployment and configuration.
• Maven and Ant build tools.
• Azure DevOps, TFS, Agile Scrum methodology and Git Flow version control.

What we offer

• Salary range of PHP 90,000 – 100,000 per month.
• Monthly transportation allowance of PHP 4,000 and de‑minimis allowance of PHP 3,600.
