Senior Auditor – Audit & Assurance (Belgium)

About the role

Grant Thornton is looking for a Senior Auditor to act as a trusted advisor for our clients in Belgium. You will identify operational weaknesses, map financial and accounting risks, and work on consolidated financial statements, periodic reports and other audit tasks, primarily on client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare audit programmes and establish control procedures.
• Conduct fieldwork, review financial statements and assess internal controls.
• Engage with clients to discuss findings and recommend solutions.
• Support and mentor junior team members throughout the audit process.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accountancy‑taxation.
• Minimum two years of experience in an audit role.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Client‑oriented, proactive, and able to travel to various offices and client sites.
