Senior Accountant – Remote (US GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join Numera’s remote team, providing US GAAP accounting support to our US‑based clients. The role involves hands‑on technical accounting, financial reporting, and independent management of month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end and year‑end close, finalising books of accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Apply ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 Lease Accounting principles.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements.
• Handle complex transactions such as equity/share issuance, R&D accounting, accruals and adjustments.
• Perform general‑ledger accounting, variance analysis and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and collaborate with Controllers.
• Mentor junior accountants and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of US accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Experience in consolidations and month‑end close ownership.
• Experience working directly with US clients; CPA, CA, ACCA or CMA is a plus.
