Senior Accountant, Legal Entity Accounting

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Global Services Finance team, focusing on Legal Entity Accounting. The role supports US and local GAAP tax reporting, statutory ledger maintenance, and audit coordination across the Philippines and global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely closing and execution of financial periods in line with SLA commitments, compliance, internal audit and SOX requirements.
• Maintain completeness, accuracy and validity of actuals, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and support statutory audit and reporting.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new team members and BPO partners, and act as a trusted business partner to drive process improvements.
• Identify compliance risks, recommend solutions and ensure strong internal controls to achieve adequate audit ratings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA, CMA, MBA or similar certifications preferred.
• 3‑4 years of professional experience, preferably in a shared‑service centre, global account‑to‑report function or external audit.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
• Experience with digital/intelligent automation tools.
