Senior Accountant

About the role

Join a leading global payments organization as a Senior Accountant. You will be part of an evolving Finance & Accounting team, responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting that supports the company’s worldwide commerce operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are prepared on schedule.
• Review, approve, and post complex journal entries and reconciliations while safeguarding data integrity.
• Perform advanced balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis to identify risks and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external auditors to support financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP‑compliant accounting practices and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Experience in the payments, credit‑card processing, or banking industry is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
