Senior Accountant

About the role

AdaptCFO is seeking a remote Senior Accountant to join its fast‑growing team supporting tech, healthcare and service companies. You will own core accounting functions, prepare financial statements and ensure accurate reporting for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping: record transactions, maintain general ledgers and reconcile accounts.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and vendor management.
• Assist payroll by calculating salaries, wages and benefits and ensuring timely payments.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis, offering insights on performance and trends.
• Maintain organized financial records in cloud storage.
• Stay current with accounting principles, standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• US GAAP knowledge and US accounting experience.
• CPA certification.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
• Microsoft Excel.
• General accounting software proficiency.
• Understanding of US GAAP.
