Security Analyst – Managed Service Provider (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Level 1 Security Analyst to join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. The role focuses on continuous monitoring, detection, and initial response to security incidents across multiple client environments, working remotely on a rotating 24 × 7 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS and other MSP tools for numerous clients.
• Perform initial triage, investigation and documentation of potential incidents; escalate to Level 2 analysts when required.
• Support incident response activities including containment, root‑cause analysis and remediation coordination.
• Maintain detailed incident records in the MSP ticketing system and communicate status to internal teams and clients.
• Assist with onboarding new clients, tuning alerts and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Participate in a 24 × 7 rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a SOC or security analyst role, preferably within an MSP environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24 × 7 shift roster and handle multiple client environments simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) or equivalent are a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools (Rapid7 InsightIDR, Splunk, QRadar).
• Familiarity with endpoint detection platforms and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of networking concepts and common security threats.
