Seafreight Specialist (FCL)

About the role

The Seafreight Specialist (FCL) will manage all Full Container Load import freight forwarding operations, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations. The role focuses on customs brokerage, documentation, and customer communication to guarantee smooth shipment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Verify required documents (commercial invoice, packing list, cargo compliance) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor the CW1 dashboard and respond to broker/consignee inquiries.
• Send arrival notices, updates, and manage communication with COS.
• Process payment requests, billing for freight prepaid and collect accounts, and handle document turnover.
• Endorse documents and release delivery orders to brokers.
• Execute transport plans according to CES booking instructions.
• Maintain accurate shipment data in the TMS, including tasks, milestones, and deviations.
• Generate and send detention invoices, monitor shipping line statements of account, and clean import transactions.
• Log claims, control detention/demurrage risk, and provide backup for team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Transportation or a related field.
• Maximum of three years experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
