SAP Functional Analyst (Finance & Controlling)

About the role

The SAP Functional Analyst will be the primary SAP point of contact for the Philippines business, bridging local stakeholders with the centralized SAP and IT teams based in Dubai. The role focuses on Finance and Controlling while also supporting other SAP modules across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for all SAP users in the Philippines, providing first‑level functional support and guidance.
• Coordinate support requests, incidents, enhancements and project activities with centralized SAP functional and technical teams.
• Monitor service levels, ensure timely communication, and escalate critical issues or business risks.
• Support SAP FICO processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist finance teams during month‑end and year‑end closing, reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Participate in SAP implementation, rollout and enhancement projects, including UAT, SIT, data migration, cut‑over planning and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP functional experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proven experience deploying SAP FI Fiori applications.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations (VAT/GST) and retail‑specific finance flows.

Required skills

• SAP FICO configuration (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Tax).
• FI Fiori deployment and customization.
• Retail finance processes, POS integration, cash management and inventory/COGS impact.
• Gift card, voucher and promotion accounting.
• Experience with SAP modules for Procurement, Inventory Management, Retail, Logistics, Master Data and Reporting.
