Sanctions Capacity & Performance Manager

About the role

The Sanctions Capacity & Performance Manager will lead and support global sanctions investigations within ANZ's Financial Crime Threat Management team. You will ensure alerts and cases are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with service level agreements and regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the capacity and performance of global sanctions investigations, ensuring teams across jurisdictions are properly resourced to meet service levels.
• Drive operational discipline by applying bank‑wide tools and frameworks, notably Active Operations Management (AOM).
• Provide data‑driven insights and own all management information (MI) requirements for the Sanctions function.
• Lead periodic Statement of Work (SoW) reviews with internal stakeholders and deliver regular SLA reporting to business and compliance teams.
• Maintain oversight of all functions performed within the Financial Crime Threat Management division.
• Deliver initiatives that align with business priorities and strategic objectives.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities while ensuring compliance with AML/CTF and sanctions policies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience using Active Operations Management (AOM).
• Background in financial crime, risk, or compliance environments, with strong AML/CTF and sanctions knowledge.
• Deep understanding of banking and financial services products, processes, and procedures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
