Resident Engineer – Lower Works

About the role

The Resident Engineer – Lower Works will act as the Owner's Engineer representative on site for the Pakil Pumped Storage Project. You will oversee construction, quality, safety, environmental compliance, progress monitoring and contract administration for all Lower Works components.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities of Lower Works facilities.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications and FIDIC contract terms.
• Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews and witness critical tests.
• Review and approve inspection & test plans, material certifications and test results.
• Manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time and dispute avoidance.
• Ensure HSE plans are followed, participate in safety audits and enforce environmental mitigation measures.
• Track construction schedule, identify risks to cost, quality or timeline and prepare recovery plans.
• Maintain comprehensive site records and produce progress reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree in Dam, Hydropower or related field preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration and relevant certifications (FIDIC, PMP, Construction Safety, Dam Safety).
• Minimum 15 years experience in dam, hydropower or pumped‑storage projects, preferably as Resident Engineer, Deputy Resident Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Proven experience with large‑scale infrastructure, underground works, tunnels or powerhouse structures.
