Remote Video Editor

About the role

A content creation studio producing podcasts, videos, educational content and digital media is seeking a skilled, versatile Video Editor. The role covers educational videos, event highlight reels, interviews, short-form social clips and long-form podcast and YouTube episodes. It is remote, full-time, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, with a pay of $1,300-$1,800 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Edit educational videos from raw footage, talking heads, screen recordings or multi-camera setups, adding captions, sound effects, music, colour correction and finishing touches
• Create short-form clips (15-60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts with captions, motion, graphics and sound design
• Edit event highlight reels and polished interview videos with B-roll, branded graphics and colour correction
• Edit full podcast episodes and long-form YouTube videos, assembling multi-camera timelines and keeping brand consistency
• Clean, level and master podcast audio, including noise reduction, EQ and compression, and export to platform specs
• Manage several projects at once, deliver regular updates, follow naming conventions and file management, and communicate proactively about needs and deadlines

Required profile

• Proven video editing experience in educational videos, short-form content, event highlights, interviews and long-form podcast or YouTube content
• Understanding of social trends, viral content structure, video codecs and formats, colour correction and basic motion graphics, and audio editing and mixing
• Experience editing 10-bit footage, creating realistic AI characters of real people, talking-head content, event highlights and real estate video
• Fast, reliable, detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, with creative instincts and storytelling sense

Required skills

• Expert-level proficiency in at least two of: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut
• Video editing and audio editing

The applicant records answers to initial interview questions in a Loom video, which is reviewed by the recruiter and then shared with the client. Payments are made directly by the client, and vacation and holidays depend on the client's policy.
