Remote US Accountant – Full Charge Bookkeeping

About the role

We are seeking a Remote US Accountant to own the financial integrity and full‑charge bookkeeping for a portfolio of US‑based small to medium businesses. You will manage the entire accounting lifecycle, from accounts payable and receivable to payroll and month‑end close, using QuickBooks or NetSuite.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple US entities in compliance with US GAAP.
• Oversee AP/AR processes, ensure timely invoicing and cash‑flow optimization.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations to keep the ledger as a single source of truth.
• Process payroll accurately using QuickBooks or integrated third‑party solutions.
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax filings and manage financing transactions such as loans and depreciation.
• Complete monthly close and deliver comprehensive, audit‑ready financial reporting packages.
• Collaborate with clients and internal US‑based controllers to resolve discrepancies and support budgeting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of full‑charge bookkeeping experience.
• At least 2 years using QuickBooks and/or NetSuite.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Knowledge of prepaids, accruals, and deferred revenue.
• Interest in leveraging third‑party applications and AI tools for efficiency.
