Remote Real Estate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Accountant to support Haven Housing, a subsidiary of BH Properties. The role is fully remote and follows standard US Pacific Time business hours, providing essential accounting services for our real‑estate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor funding, and review general ledger activity.
• Reconcile fixed assets, prepare journal entries, and post loan transactions.
• Assist with monthly close processes for assigned properties.
• Open new bank accounts and handle post‑acquisition/disposition accounting tasks.
• Prepare internal reports and support ad‑hoc projects as directed by accounting management.

Required profile

• Accounting degree with CPA license.
• Graduated cum laude from a recognized university.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience; real‑estate accounting a plus.
• Strong organizational ability, independent work ethic, and capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Yardi accounting software (preferred).
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
