Remote Property Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Property Management Accountant to join our finance team and support a community‑focused client based in the United States and Canada. The role involves handling daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes while working remotely from the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Run monthly financial reports and prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Review accounts receivable and analyze accounts payable, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Email monthly financial packages to the Accounting Lead and finalized statements to the Board.
• Perform AP GL coding review and payment release processing in Strongroom.
• Process expense reports, vendor invoices, and employee reimbursements.
• Assist with audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Required profile

• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
• 2‑3 years of experience preparing financial statements.
• Multiple accounts experience and familiarity with GAAP.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (desirable).
• Experience with Strongroom and Caliber preferred.
• Own laptop/desktop meeting minimum specifications and reliable internet (≥50 Mbps).
