Remote PHP Developer (Laravel) for AI Project

About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join a customer’s AI‑focused team on a remote, contract basis. You will use your expertise in PHP and Laravel to build and maintain back‑end services that support AI model training workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with AI model trainers to structure data and workflows for training processes.
• Contribute to the architecture of scalable, high‑performance back‑end systems.
• Translate functional requirements into efficient, reliable code.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Communicate effectively with a distributed, remote team.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex back‑end issues during AI training cycles.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Proven ability to develop, test, and deploy production‑grade applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote work environment.
• Strong understanding of software‑engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with back‑end or full‑stack development beyond React/Node.js.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while contributing to team goals.
• Experience on data‑driven or AI‑related projects is a strong plus.
