Remote Accountant – QuickBooks & Retail Finance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to join a growing multi‑location retail business. This full‑time, remote position supports the entire accounting cycle, from daily transaction processing to month‑end close and sales‑tax compliance, using QuickBooks and related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Code and enter vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain organized vendor records.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and reconcile the AP sub‑ledger to the general ledger.
• Post daily sales from store and e‑commerce channels, reconcile POS totals, and manage deferred revenue schedules.
• Reconcile multiple bank and credit‑card accounts, investigate unusual transactions, and prepare audit‑ready workpapers.
• Prepare monthly sales and use‑tax returns, maintain filing calendars, and ensure timely submissions.
• Support payroll processing, fixed‑asset tracking, expense coding, and revenue posting as needed.
