Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in the Philippines. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing subcontractor proposals, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with co‑engineers to gather all necessary drawings, specifications and documents for bid assessments.
• Review, analyse and evaluate proposals submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop construction methodologies and standards based on bid documents and create estimating guidelines.
• Solicit quotations from material and equipment suppliers, verify pricing accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for materials, labour and equipment and prepare detailed estimates.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Philippine and international building codes and standards.
• Produce parameter reports, recap and final bid packages.
• Provide re‑estimates for redesigns or value‑engineered projects.
• Implement and oversee process compliance within the KTMS.PH Integrated Management System.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or top management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) with at least 3 years of hands‑on quantity surveying experience.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with the Philippine Building Code; knowledge of ISO quality standards, construction safety regulations and QA/QC standards is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Planswift for quantity take‑off and estimating.
