QA Engineer – ATM Acquiring & Payment Processing

About the role

You will help Salmon transition from a vendor‑controlled SaaS processing model to a licensed, Salmon‑owned payment processing platform, starting with ATM acquiring. The role involves testing API and ISO 8583 transaction flows, supporting UAT and certification with external partners, and ensuring the platform is secure, reliable and production‑ready. As the platform evolves, responsibilities will expand to POS and e‑commerce acquiring.

Key responsibilities

• Test end‑to‑end payment processing flows across APIs and ISO 8583 messages, including authorizations, reversals, reconciliation, clearing and settlement.
• Design, maintain and execute functional, integration, regression and certification test cases; automate API tests where feasible.
• Support UAT, payment‑scheme certification, release validation and post‑release monitoring.

Required profile

• 3+ years of QA or SDET experience in fintech, banking or payment processing.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing, test automation tools and strong SQL skills for transaction investigation.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583, the payment transaction lifecycle and UAT/certification processes.
