Project Manager – Core Banking Operations

About the role

You will lead the Finance side of the core banking system project, translating accounting needs, regulatory obligations and product‑administration realities into concrete system requirements and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end project plan for Finance, defining scope, milestones, dependencies and risk tracking while acting as the Finance subject‑matter voice during vendor selection, design and rollout.
• Run UAT, validate data migration and plan cut‑over activities, coordinating closely with IT/Engineering and external vendors.
• Bridge Finance, IT/Engineering and Compliance to surface regulatory gaps, close them and keep Finance leadership informed.
• Turn accounting and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSP/MORB) into system specifications and manage delivery against them.
• Drive accounting‑backlog remediation, month‑end/period‑end close integration with the core banking system and Odoo automation, prioritising efficiency gains through AI‑enabled automation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance/accounting project‑management experience with a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and close processes.
• Proven track record of leading automation initiatives and hands‑on experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP for accounting automation.
• Solid IT literacy – comfortable with system architecture, data flows and technical requirements to act as a bridge between Finance and Engineering.
• Excellent project‑management discipline: scoping, milestone tracking, risk management and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear, milestone‑driven plans.
