Project Director

About the role

The Project Director is responsible for leading multiple high‑complexity, mission‑critical projects that support key business initiatives. You will oversee project teams, coordinate with business users, and ensure delivery meets cost, schedule, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage several complex or high‑risk projects and their cross‑functional teams simultaneously.
• Define roles, set performance objectives, provide coaching, and evaluate team performance.
• Develop and maintain project processes to meet business requirements efficiently.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders informed of overall status.
• Coordinate business requirements, assess feasibility, and establish effort estimates.
• Direct analysis and design to ensure solutions satisfy management and business needs.
• Conduct project reviews to guarantee quality and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Plan and support staff development and career growth.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Mitigate risks and manage communication with vendors and third‑party partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in application systems design, analysis, development, and maintenance, including mainframe, mid‑range, and microcomputer environments.
• Experience working within banking operations.
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud‑based platforms.
