Project and Services Financial Controller

About the role

The Project and Services Financial Controller provides analytical and financial reporting support to business and financial leaders, ensuring accurate project accounting and continuous improvement of consolidation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Validate project setup and re‑forecast projects according to manager requirements.
• Troubleshoot inter‑project time and expense transfers and ensure correct revenue recognition, WIP, and backlog.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, unbilled receivables and guarantee timely project closure.
• Produce monthly project and portfolio reports, forecasts, variance analysis and split data by organizational unit.
• Track financial and non‑financial project elements (quality, time, cost) and analyse performance trends.
• Allocate project costs accurately, supporting internal and external purchasing and labor.
• Partner with local, regional and global teams for data stewardship, metrics, analysis, reporting and compliance.
• Prepare files for project review meetings, handle complex invoicing tasks and act as point of contact for system issues.
• Drive process improvement, develop training documentation and provide backup support to accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience in shared‑service or multinational environments is advantageous.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
