Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead the sourcing, negotiation and acquisition of goods and services for large‑scale projects, ensuring cost‑effective and timely delivery of high‑quality materials. This role supports the organization’s strategic goals by optimizing purchasing processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify prospective suppliers that balance quality, cost and delivery speed.
• Draft, review and negotiate purchasing agreements, pricing and terms with vendors.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers while monitoring performance and compliance.
• Manage the end‑to‑end purchasing cycle, from RFQs to PO issuance and delivery tracking.
• Analyze market trends, spending data and resolve pricing or invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate with finance, legal and operations to forecast demand and align purchasing needs with project goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Hydro‑Electric or multi‑million USD projects.
• Graduate of any four‑year degree program.
• Willingness to relocate between project sites as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Experience using e‑procurement platforms and inventory management systems.
