Procurement Buyer (1-Year Contract)

About the role

The Procurement Buyer will support the execution of procurement transactions for materials, goods, services and supplies across designated locations. This 1‑year fixed‑term role focuses on tactical purchasing, compliance with company policies, and delivering cost‑saving opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor procurement transactions using ERP systems such as Maximo, Ariba or SAP TC1.
• Manage tactical procurement demands for capital projects, stock replenishment and planned spend.
• Negotiate medium‑complexity contracts in line with global and regional sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with category teams for purchases exceeding approval limits.
• Identify and report cost‑saving opportunities and consolidate demand to achieve economies of scale.
• Ensure supplier agreements are with reputable, financially stable partners and comply with local laws.
• Prepare regional price lists, validate item codes and support automated catalog implementation.
• Analyze procurement data, prepare reports and provide feedback on issues and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement operations, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, compliance and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and data‑driven decision making.
