Principal Auditor – Validations (AVP) – Group Audit

About the role

The Group Audit team at Deutsche Bank is seeking a Principal Auditor to lead validation activities within the bank’s third line of defence. Based in Manila, you will partner with business units and support senior management in risk oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs, identify risks and controls, and design test plans for validation findings.
• Assess materiality of exceptions and draw conclusions.
• Monitor regulatory and audit developments and disseminate knowledge across the GA team.
• Escalate emerging risks to senior management through reports and meetings.
• Build strategic internal and external relationships to enhance department performance.
• Report validation coverage status to the Validation Principal Audit Manager and flag any delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CAMS, CFE) preferred.
• Extensive experience in risk and control management, internal or external audit within financial services.
• Proven track record leading RCSA, audits or validation projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and the financial services risk environment.
