Power Supply Installation Superintendent

About the role

The Power Supply Installation Superintendent leads the installation, testing and pre‑commissioning of power supply and electrical distribution systems on construction sites. Reporting to project management, the role ensures all works are performed safely, on schedule and in line with specifications, quality standards and regulations. This position coordinates manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation activities for power supply and distribution systems.
• Ensure construction works follow approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor daily site activities and align progress with project schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve construction issues and technical challenges.
• Oversee installation of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, lighting, power transformers, switchgear, cable trays, conduits, power and control cabling, distribution panels and protection systems, grounding and lightning protection.
• Verify installation quality against approved drawings.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements, conduct toolbox talks and monitor site safety performance.
• Maintain quality control by coordinating inspections, reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and monitoring punch‑list close‑out.
• Support commissioning activities, test electrical equipment and document test results.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and track material deliveries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant trade certification or professional accreditation (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of power supply and power distribution systems.
• Proven experience supervising electrical installation on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and safe work practices.
