Post Test Equipment Engineer

About the role

Texas Instruments is seeking a Post Test Equipment Engineer to join its semiconductor manufacturing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of post‑test equipment used in high‑volume production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and procure cost‑effective equipment for product manufacturing.
• Oversee installation, modification, upgrades, and routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Stay current with equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
• Analyze equipment performance and reliability to drive uptime improvements.
• Develop programs and solutions to address equipment‑related manufacturing challenges.
• Provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience with semiconductor backend or post‑test equipment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with VTT, Vitrox inspection systems, Isort/IC sorting equipment, Neonbooster systems, and dry/moisture bake ovens.
• Equipment setup, troubleshooting, optimization, preventive maintenance, machine calibration and alignment.
• Sensor, actuator, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.
• PLC/HMI troubleshooting, machine‑vision setup, and automation knowledge.
• Spare parts management and equipment downtime reduction.
