Policy Officer

About the role

Oxfam Philippines is seeking a Policy Officer to lead the design, implementation and monitoring of its influencing strategy, with a focus on social accountability and reducing inequality through partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s influencing strategy in line with Oxfam’s Worldwide Influencing Network (WIN).
• Coordinate social‑accountability initiatives and ensure they address gender‑based violence and inequality.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, CSOs, NGOs and private‑sector actors.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables, including organizing meetings, workshops and documentation.
• Monitor and report on the impact of advocacy activities and adjust approaches as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in policy advocacy and communications.
• Proven project‑management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in multicultural settings.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Filipino.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Experience using PeopleSoft for project management (preferred).
• Knowledge of Do‑No‑Harm principles, conflict sensitivity and gender‑based development (preferred).
