Plant Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Plant Operations Manager will lead a large‑scale food manufacturing facility, ensuring seamless integration of production, engineering, quality, supply chain and maintenance functions. This senior position drives operational excellence, cost efficiency and continuous improvement in a high‑volume dough‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end plant operations, covering production, engineering, quality, warehouse and maintenance.
• Achieve operational KPIs such as efficiency, output, waste reduction, downtime and service levels.
• Lead plant‑wide planning and execution to meet demand and support business growth.
• Manage production planning, scheduling, capacity and manpower deployment.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation and food‑safety regulations.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM and Kaizen.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics and supply‑chain teams to maintain uninterrupted production flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management or related field.
• 12‑15+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing, preferably dough‑based or baked‑goods operations.
• Proven senior plant leadership experience (Plant Head, Operations Director, Manufacturing Director or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food‑safety regulatory compliance.
• Strong track record managing large‑scale, high‑volume production facilities and cross‑functional teams.
