Physician On Duty

About the role

The Physician On Duty will provide immediate medical care at MedExpress’ urgent‑care clinic in Malay. Working full‑time on‑site, you will manage emergency and urgent consultations, conduct travel‑medicine assessments and support medical evacuation cases.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients presenting with urgent or emergency conditions.
• Perform pre‑departure and travel health assessments for tourists and workers.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, electrocardiograms (ECG) and imaging studies.
• Collaborate with international assistance partners on air and ground medical evacuations.
• Provide occupational health services and ensure accurate medical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) with a valid, unrestricted Philippine medical license.
• Proven experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or related fields.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Laboratory testing and result interpretation.
• ECG acquisition and interpretation.
• Imaging study interpretation (e.g., X‑ray, ultrasound).
