Pest Control Officer

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Pest Control Officer to lead and supervise pest management activities within our food manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance with company procedures and safety regulations while preventing pest infestations that could impact product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily pest control operations, including trap checks, fumigation, misting, spraying, and product inspections.
• Review pest control reports and fumigation certificates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage pest control consumables and chemicals, maintaining proper inventory and documentation.
• Provide basic pest control training to employees and conduct facility audits.
• Prepare monthly trend reports and determine appropriate treatment methods to prevent infestations.
• Update pest control policies, MSDS, and chemical handling procedures.
• Participate in internal and external audits and attend required trainings and seminars.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Entomology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific/agricultural field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pest Control Technician/Officer in a food manufacturing environment.
• Relevant training such as BPI accreditation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), pesticide safety, GAP or food safety.
• Certified Pesticide Applicator‑Fumigator issued by the Fertilizer and Pesticides Authority.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
