Payroll & Accounting Assistant

About the role

Equicom Service, Inc. is seeking a diligent Payroll & Accounting Assistant to join the finance team on-site. The role focuses on processing payroll, managing statutory contributions, and supporting the accounting function with accurate and timely financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare final pay instructions and schedule outward remittances via Instapay.
• Validate and monitor manpower costs, payments, and monthly BIR tax reports.
• Track and reconcile statutory contributions and government loans (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag‑IBIG).
• Maintain ageing of receivables related to SSS reimbursements and prepare related reports.
• Perform monthly analysis of employee income taxes, prepare BIR returns and remittances.
• Prepare accruals for payroll‑related expenses such as leave commutation and 13th month pay.
• Enter payroll accounting records in Dynamics 365 and maintain the general ledger for payroll accounts.
• Conduct annual reconciliation of employee income and taxes and generate required reports.
• Comply with information security and data privacy policies, attending mandatory training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a sense of urgency.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software; knowledge of Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Instapay.
