Part-Time Pharmacy Technology Instructor (Temporary)

About the role

The Health Care Technology Department at City College of San Francisco is seeking qualified professionals to join its part‑time Pharmacy Technology Instructor pool. This temporary position involves delivering in‑person Pharmacy Technician courses across multiple campuses, with flexible scheduling that may include day, evening, or Saturday classes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Pharmacy Technician courses that comply with State Board of Pharmacy standards.
• Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction covering pharmacology, automated drug distribution systems, IV additives, pharmacy law, pharmacy math, pharmaceutical chemistry, and pharmacy computer systems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with practice‑training sites to ensure quality lab experiences.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors, pharmacists, and technicians on curriculum development and assessment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, faculty evaluations, and diversity, equity, and inclusion training.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
• One of the following education/experience combinations: Bachelor’s degree + 2 years related experience; Associate degree + 6 years related experience; Associate degree + CPhT certification + 4 years related experience; or a fully‑satisfied California Community College Instructor Credential in Health and Physical Care Services.
