Paralegal – Legal & Compliance Support for Healthcare

About the role

The Paralegal provides advanced legal, regulatory, and administrative support to attorneys within a US‑based healthcare organization focused on behavioral health services. This position is critical for contract management, litigation support, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage contracts, business associate agreements, provider agreements, real‑estate and corporate formation documents.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including intake, redlining, execution tracking, and renewal monitoring.
• Support litigation activities such as e‑discovery, document review, production, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Manage legal hold processes, conduct audits, and ensure proper release procedures.
• Assist with regulatory compliance for HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare/Medicaid, and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CARF).
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, prepare memoranda and position statements.
• Collaborate with internal departments (operations, compliance, HR, finance) and external counsel.
